My everyday purple smoothie

Ahh, how I always look forward to this yummy drink. Packed with so many nutrients to keep my brain and body healthy, yet so so delicious. I sometimes add various mushroom powders (but not too much, so I don’t alter the taste) to give it an extra health boost!

I also love to drink this smoothie before I take my vitamins, as the banana in it really helps my body to absorb the supplements.

The ingredients are fairly simple, with only the frozen wild blueberries, banana, and almond butter being the main and necessary components. Everything else can be opted if you wish!

Let’s begin! Here’s what you’ll need—

Ingredients:

  • Frozen wild blueberries (WILD is preferred, however fresh blueberries are fine too.)

  • One banana

  • Big scoop of organic almond butter

  • Almond milk for creaminess, otherwise water

  • A couple ice cubes (if your blueberries aren’t frozen)

    Optional Add Ins:

  • Handful of spinach

  • one small bottle of Trader Joe’s organic coconut milk (can be found in the refrigerated section)

  • Trader Joe’s vanilla vegan cashew yogurt (this makes it taste like a decadent hotel smoothie)

  • One tablespoon(ish) of cacao nibs (i like it for the extra crunch!)

  • Scoop of BLOOM brain health powder (includes lions mane!)

  • Half teaspoon of ashwagandha (to help relax and chill)

  • Half teaspoon of mucuna (for the added dopamine - yes please!)

Add in all your preferred ingredients into the blender (I use vitamix), and then blend, blend, blend baby! Pour into 2 cups, one for you and one for a loved one.
