New purchases and things that make me happy :)
Hey, beauties. Can you believe it’s March already?! These last 2 months have been quite the journey for me, as I’ve been settling into being back in my mother’s home for the first time in almost a decade, all whilst figuring out my life and where I want to end up. And while this has brought challenges, it has also been fun too because I’ve finally been able to be around family more then I have in a very long time. And that’s priceless! And not only that, I’ve also been able to do a deep dive into my own well-being, as it’s been a major reset for me as well.
From this deep dive and time of major self reflection, I’ve come back into relationship with God, in a more meaningful way. I’ve said this before, but the relationship has truly deepened, and I cherish that. I’ve also clarified my desires for my life, while at the same time, learning how to surrender and loosen my grip on the outcomes. I also have become more confident and more talkative around strangers, which is literally a first for me.
There have been a few tools that have helped me to achieve this state of mental clarity and higher self esteem—which I will list below!
Here are 3 things that have radically shifted my day to day life.
Thesis Nootropics. This has been a complete game changer for my brain. I originally came across the brand from a post on instagram. I saw small boxes with titles such as “confidence,” “creativity,” and “motivation.” What caught my eye was the box titled confidence. Could there really be a magic blend out there to spark confidence? I felt sooo curious to try! What would it be like? When I dug deeper, I saw the company’s CEO and his story about how he had trouble concentrating in school and would be reading the same page over and over again. When he started taking nootropics, he had a shift in his brain and excelled academically, going to Harvard and achieving other amazing things. I was amazed, and once again, so curious, because I knew deep down I have more potential then how I was showing up in my life. I was also facing a lot of similar problems with concentration, as well as socially. So I jumped on in, signed up for my trial month (where you pick out 4 boxes, so you can test out the brand and the different blends). The results? I can’t live without it. My brain is changed for the better. My favorite actually ended up being logic. I enjoy confidence as well. There’s a lot more I can say, however I’ll do a deeper dive on this in another post. (And this is not an ad by the way, I just really enjoy the products.)
Francine River’s book, Redeeming Love. My new book I can’t stop reading which has shifted the way I view love and God. I found this book at the perfect time in my life, and I don’t believe it was an accident. It’s a must read for any woman struggling with their sense of worth or want a good read that brings them closer to God. It also has shifted the way I view love, and I now realize the qualities that are most important in myself and in a partner. The story itself is also fascinating, and this is the fastest I’ve ever read a book (…or is this because of the nootropics?!).
Hanging inspiring photos all over my bedroom walls. Yes, yes, we’ve all heard about this one. But what I really love about my new setup is my huge framed photo/poster of Positano, seaside. It really lifts my spirits, as Positano is one of my favorite places on Earth. Seeing that photo brings back memories of the times I’ve visited there with my mother and friends. Apart from this photo, I also have tons of regular size photos, scattered about on my walls. And I make sure to only have photos in eyesight that bring a good feeling to me. It has really shifted the energy of my room overall.
And that’s it y’all! I just love discovering new passions and things that make me feel my absolute best. The world can feel scary at times, especially now, so it’s extra important to tend to that fertile garden of your soul.
And keep in mind: everyone is different and what I enjoy the most, you might not necessarily like at all. With that being said, what are you loving the most right now in your life to enhance your wellbeing? Send me a DM and let me know.
Yours in health,
Elise
